Four Months Before;
“We need to go back to Forks.”
“We can’t do that Bella, you know that.” Edward shook his head as he looked over Bella. He was concerned, she had only been a Vampire now for thirty years, and never once had she mentioned going back to Forks. At least not out loud had she mentioned anything along the lines of that. They had broken the treaty by changing Bella, and Bella was still a new born, any sign of blood that had once repulsed her, now made her crazy.
“Please, Edward, I just have this feeling that we need to go back there…Maybe, things won’t be as bad as they were when we left. We don’t have to let anyone know that we’re there, and even if we’re only there for a little while..”
“Bella, things like that don’t just go away, if we go back there then there’s a chance that we can start up some sort of war with them, and maybe you feel like you need to go back because you miss your family, because you miss Him.”
Bella shook her head, yes, she had longed to at least see her father, who on their wedding day found out just what was going to happen to her, and that it would be a long time before she would be able to come back. At the time he hadn’t taken it well, but Bella had written to him, after she had changed, and he seemed to only be sorry for the way he had acted, and that he wanted her to come back. But she didn’t, and she told him he couldn’t, but when she could, she would come back and see him.
“Please Edward, it can only be for a little while, we don’t have to stay there forever, but please, I just have a feeling like we need to be there, that something might happen.”
Edward shook his head a bit and glanced towards Bella for a moment, he knew that he had a hard time disagreeing with her, even though he knew that the Cullen Family going back to Forks was probably one of the not so grand ideas coming from Bella. The Werewolves would not like it, and who knew what might have changed about Forks in the last thirty years that they had been gone.
“Fine, we’ll go, but Bella we aren’t going to stay there for long, we aren’t going to move back into Forks and be living there, it just won’t be happening.” It was as simple as that, and Bella knew that while she had managed to convince at least Edward to come with her, she knew that the rest of the family would also be wary of the idea of going back to Forks.
And it wasn’t only because of the fact that the Werewolves, if and when they found out about it, would end up being the ones who cause the most problem, but if any of the Cullens were to run into somebody that they knew, whether it be from Carlisle’s old work partners. It simply wasn’t something that they could really risk, so they knew that they would have to be sneaky about moving back. And even when it came to them going out and about, it just simply wouldn’t work, if they were caught by Werewolves, or if they were caught by old friends.
Alice had agreed with Bella, when Bella had come to say that they needed to go back to Forks. Mainly because Alice had currently been feeling like something was happening, even if she couldn’t pin point where it was. And then when she had received a vision of a woman, unable to see her face, but all she could really make out was a woman with long brown hair and wearing a white dress.
Something about the woman unnerved Alice, even and so she does decide that taking the risk of going back to Forks would be a good idea. And even though a couple people, such as Rosalie and Jasper voted against it, the other’s seemed to agree with it. Though they would try and go out mainly when it was dark, so they wouldn’t risk the chance of running into someone they once knew. They also knew that during the day, if they went out, that they would have to be more so on the sneaky side.
Current Times;
They have only just gotten here, to Forks, the Cullens and their four new family members are now there, and only just beginning to move back into their homes. They have managed to keep a low profile, only going out when they need to hunt for food, and when it comes time for them to get a newspaper. And for a little while it seemed more or less the news was normal, nothing out of the blue seemed to be going on. And there were no signs of a woman with long brown hair wearing a white dress.
Well there was, it just simply wasn’t the woman that Alice had kept seeing in her visions. Though about three weeks into them moving in, the Werewolves learned of the Cullens being back in Forks, and this was something that they didn’t like, not at all, Forks had been Vampire free for a period of time, with them gone. But then over the last five years, there have been occurrences where more vegetarian Vampires came to live in Forks.
And because of this, the Werewolves had become much more on edge, causing them to become more so on the rebellious side, causing more attention towards themselves and towards the Vampires. This is not something that the Volturi tend to like, not at all, and so now there is the threat of Volturi coming to Forks because of this, though it doesn’t seem like they are the only threat.
Seeing as how now there seems to be a high amount of injuries happening around the areas of Forks and this was something that the Werewolves also don’t seem to like, they don’t understand why it is that all of these injuries and near death experiences seem to be happening. And there, just like in Alice’s visions there seems to be sightings of a woman with long brown hair, wearing a brown dress. People still haven’t been able to really place who this person is, or if this is the person that has been committing all of these crimes, causing the people of Forks and Seattle, and even Port Angeles reasons to worry.
All that has ever been known about the victims, that they all seem to have in common, is that there are bite marks on their necks, making it seem like whoever is doing this, is one the one puncturing these wounds into the people’s necks.
The police are quite dumbfounded by this, and yet they are looking back into past records, seeing as how some of the older police men, have said that something like this has happened before. And so even the humans are starting to become curious about a fair amount of things, they are starting to get the ideas that maybe something else is going on, something that could be considered anything but ordinary.
So now not only do the Cullen’s and the Werewolves have to deal with the fact that there is someone out there who is getting a joy out of hunting down people, but they also have to deal with the fact that the humans are starting to snoop around. They are starting to become curious of more things, and it seems like one slip up from either the Cullen’s or the Werewolves, and they could be discovered.
This would not be a good thing, especially with the threat of the Volturi coming to Forks, if the humans were to find out about them, then who knows just what it is that the Volturi might end up doing in order to clean up the mess that had been created. By the woman with the brown hair and white dress, even though for the last couple weeks, they aren’t sure where she might have gone.
Because of the fact that the attacks only happen once every few weeks, and even then there is only two people who are really being attacked each time. For the humans, this seems to be a lot, but the other’s such as the Vampires of Forks and the Cullen’s seem to think that it is rather odd. While the Werewolves seem to be the ones who are really making more of an effort to find out who is doing this.
Sending out several different Werewolves to scout around at night, breaking up into groups of fours or fives to hunt around the woods in case there in something there, while other’s try to make it into the towns to sniff around. Though so far no one has really been able to find anything. They haven’t been able to find any signs of the supposed attacker, which is putting them on edge.
